Tamie Phillips is an accomplished Canadian show jumper from Calgary, AB. Her achievements so far at the 2016 Hits Thermal Desert Circuit with her 11 year old Hanoverian mare, Cat Balou, include: 3rd place in the FEI $36,400 Desert Welcome Stake, 5th place in the $25,000 SmartPak Grand Prix, 5th place in the $65,000 Wilmington Trust Grand Prix, 8th place in the $350,000 HITS Thermal Grand Prix, and 8th place in the $100,000 Longines FEI World Cup Qualifier.
Tamie sat down with us over the break week to reflect on her experience so far with MEHOT. After touring our facility and ensuring that our chamber would be safe for her world class horses, Tamie decided to treat her horses with HBOT and has been very pleased with the results she has seen while using HBOT during competition:
“I just think that being able to cut down on recovery time is really important after competing at this level. Also, I feel like the horses can’t tell us if there are any micro tears or specific injuries that are hurting and this helps heal everything.”
She went on to explain that the results speak for themselves:
“I’ve definitely noticed decreased wear and tear. Inflammation in her legs came down after just the first treatment. After two weeks of competition and for how many tough classes we did, I feel like I have a healthier horse coming out of it than I did going into it. She has recovered so much better. My vet looked at her and said “what have you been doing with this horse?!”
